O2 Aspen Teacher Spotlight: Piper Erin Rothberg

We are honored to highlight one of our core teachers, Piper Rothberg. After discovering Pilates more than 20 years ago, Piper has grown her practice into a career where she shares the power of intentional movement with her loyal clients. We are in awe of Piper's resilience, strength, grace, and beauty, both inside and out, and hope you enjoy learning a bit from behind the scenes.

Piper is also adding more group classes to her weekly schedule! Please join her in the studio on:

Tuesdays: 9 am Reformer, 10 am Tower, & 12 pm Jump 

Wednesdays: 9 am Reformer, 10 am Reformer, & 12 pm Jump

Thursdays: 4 pm Power

Piper's Experience: 15 years Advanced Certified Pilates Instructor, Bachelors Psychology, Certified Nutritionist, Master Herbalist, and a Certified Lifestyle Coach

 

Q: What inspires you? 
I am inspired by the feeling I have inside when I connect with the grace and flow of Pilates. I also love the invigorating energy in my clients after a class or private. 

Q: In a few words, can you describe what brought you to Pilates?
I began teaching 21 years ago. Living with MS has given me a perspective on self care, and a passion for helping others enhance their own well-being. Pilates is my greatest ally, and I have witnessed it's benefits in all of my clients. 

 

Q: How would you describe your teaching style?
My teaching style is challenging, a blend of classical and contemporary, and therapeutic. 

Q: Do you have any rituals or routines you swear by?
Yes, I practice and teach Meditation. The two together help me stay strong, balanced and centered. 

Q: What do you love about Aspen?
I was born and raised in Aspen. I love the community, the mountains, the fresh air, the people, and the energy in this town. 

Q: What does wellness mean to you?
Wellness to me means feeling love in my heart, a connection with my body, compassion for others, and honoring my higher self. 

Q: What's on your playlist?
I like so many types of music that it is always changing. 

Q: What's your favorite quote at the moment? 
"Be kind for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle". I believe that every day is an opportunity to make another person feel like everything is going to be ok. We are all on this journey together. 

Q: When you're not on your mat, where can we find you?
When I am not in the studio I am out in the world tending to my life and my loved ones.
